From the players who have worn them to the cultural impact they make on and off the court, basketball sneakers play a major role the sports popularity. Air Jordan 11 (pg. 5): The unique patent leather design makes the 11’s one of the most popular signature shoes of all time. Jordan wore this shoe during the “95-96 season championship season and won 72 game during the regular season.

Nike Zoom LeBron 2 (pg. 7): The second signature shoe from LeBron James. This blue and grey color way is the All-Star edition and was worn in his first ever All-Star game on February 20th, 2005. I wore these same shoes in the National Championship game in College.

VC 2’s (pg. 7): The second edition shoe worn by the high flying Vince Carter. The shoe featured the Nike Shox look to resemble Carter’s one of a kind athleticism. This color way is the first every Nike Shoe to be customed design for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. It was worn during the post season of the schools national championship season.

Nike Air Penny 2 (pg. 21): The Air Penny 2 was the sequel to the very successful Air Penny. It features the Air Max heel and the Zoom Air on the front giving the perfect balance of comfort and performance.

Air Jordan 3 (pg. 13): Designed by legendary designer Tinker Hatfield. The third edition of the legendary Air Jordan signature shoe line was the first to feature the Jump Man logo. The 3’s are also most notable for their elephant print design featured throughout the shoe.

Nike Air Zoom Generation (pg. 7): The first signature shoe worn by LeBron James. The 18 year old rookie had his first signature shoe before ever playing in his first NBA game. James earned NBA Rookie of the Year honors during that season. The green and gold color way represent his alma mater, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.

Nike Air Mag (pg. 6): Worn by Michael J. Fox in the second installment of the “Back to the Future” trilogy. The Air Mag features space material, power laces, and a rechargeable internal battery. This shoe is a cinematic icon and was designed by Nike designer Tinker Hatfield.

Nike LeBron 12 (pg. 25): The 12th signature shoe featured from the LeBron James shoe line. The shoe features a scientific approach from the look and the performance. The shoe also features a hidden message located on the heel. The message is custom to all the different color ways of the shoe.

Nike Air Penny (pg. 22): Designed by Eric Avar, The Nike Air Penny is one of Nike’s greatest shoe designs. The versatile design was a perfect signature look for the first-team NBA point guard Anferny “Penny” Hardaway.
